A new 6-seater chairlift to replace the Furka double-chairlift built in 1972, will open in the coming 2017/18 winter season in the Parsenn region. The 1,587-metre long chairlift will climb 380 metres, transport 2,500 people per hour and shorten the trip from the Gruobenalp to the Parsennfurgga by around 5 minutes. The chairlift is designed like a single-seater – but also features heated seats and covers.
